So off guard

Didn't see that coming

Headbutt

Lips cut

Pain

Didn't see that coming

My mind slips

Dark abyss

My comfort my solace

Hiding in closets

Hope he doesn't find me

Mirrors lie

This isn't me

Who is this stranger

Stranger with the black eyes... broken smile...

This isn't me.

This isn't my eyes

My eyes smile.

Used to smile.

My pain is irrelevant

Why?

Because we can and it's a fun way for some of the columnists I worked with at The Modern L to stay connected so to speak. Each and every one of the collaborators on this blog is someone I consider my chosen family so obviously we are all just a teeny bit left of center! Ok, maybe more than just a teeny bit. We all have different writing styles so we hope you find something you enjoy. It's named after our pub at home and just like in our pub, no subject is taboo. Except any form of bigotry! Because this is just for fun we will add to it whenever the muse hits so some days there might be more than one post while days or weeks can go by without a thing being written. We all have busy lives you know! Drop us a line if you would like to contribute too, once off or whatever, the more the merrier we always say! Like a Boss is where we will feature people and things we find fabulous and worthy of keeping an eye on and Cocktail Hour is all about our perfect cocktail party in the sky.
